Informations

The event will both award the title of 2024 handifly british indoor skydiving champion and is also open to competitors of other nationalities as the first stage of the Handifly Race World Series 2025. At this first stage, an international ranking will be established, including all Bristish participants, with a prize-giving ceremony. Then places obtained by each participant will be taken into account for the World Series ranking established at the end of 2025.

Registration fees are 182€ per performer.

This event is planned on thursday november the 7th at Weembi, in the city of Lille, France. Meeting at 8am for all performers.

The Handifly Race is a discipline meant for flyers with handicaps included in the following categories:

Impaired Muscle Power
Impaired Passive Range of Movement
Limb Deficiency
Leg Length Difference
Short Stature
Hypertonia
Ataxia
Athetosis

Registration procedure

Handifly Race are open to all international Flyers who meet the criteria for participation, which are:

1. BEFORE OCTOBER 6TH 2024:

Being eligible para-athletes and having completed their Athlete Evaluation with the Classification Board
by sending Evaluation Items to Jérôme DAVID’s:

The Evaluation Items to be submitted are the following:

– The official Declaration and consent form completed and signed.

– One or more photo /or video images showing their deficiencies outside from the flight chamber.

– One or more video images showing them in Flight in a windtunnel and using their eventual Specific Equipment. These video images must show either Flights on the Handifly Race or at least demonstrations of ability to fly up, down and front and to contact the inner wall of the flight chamber.

Nota Bene : Flyers who previously have already submitted Evaluation Items and been evaluated by a Classification Board and whose physical condition or use of eventual Specific Equipment has not changed since, are not requested to mandatory submit new Evaluation Items ; these items remain optional.

The eligibility and coefficients assigned will be published on October 18th, 2024.

In case of ineligibility, registration fees will be refund.

There are 24 slots available, priority is given to british competitors until september the 15th. The registrations will be processed in chronological order.

5 minutes by car from the Lille Lesquin airport, free shuttle for Mercure hotel guests.
